In three decades it is estimated that emissions produced from agriculture and food production will amount to about half of the overall carbon budget. Livestock grazing areas, which are overly populated and poorly run, produce runoff which destroy waterways. These grazing lots have also been the cause of why more than 90% percent of the Amazon has been destroyed. These are only a few striking facts about that agriculture industry impact, yet they are not widely known. If we as a society become more cautious consumers we can help to diminish these problems. Change needs to happen whether that be in the way in which we take care off the animals emissions, animals rights, or how we take care for our own health. Our planet is in distress, just like the animals in factory farms, and without a global push to make a change it will continue to pay the price.
